How many applications will run on Stackship?
1 CU = 1 vCPU or 4 GB RAM, whichever is larger, times replicas. An App Service with a database and a secret vault is typically about 2 CU.
The discount comes from how long you commit: 5 % at 24 months, then five percentage points per step up to 20 % at 60. Month-to-month and 12 months are at list price.
Servers, patching and upgrades are handled by the platform. Access, policy and change management stay with you. If you are unsure: 25% is a reasonable starting point when most of today's hours go to patching and servers, 40–50% if you have already automated a lot.

Calculation Assumptions
How the calculator counts:
- Traditional deployment covers ticket creation, approvals, server provisioning and updates, configuration changes and access management. Labor cost is every IT hour across that flow.
- A Stackship deployment is one person and about 30 minutes including CI/CD, provided the application is containerized or uses a supported runtime.
- The platform fee is per Capacity Unit the applications reserve, from creation to deletion. Deployments, builds and traffic cost nothing extra. The capacity you run drives the fee, not how often you ship.
- Unless you say otherwise we count 2 CU per application: an App Service with a database and a secret vault. A license period gives a term discount of 5–20 % from 24 months and starts at 20 CU, 10 000 kr per month at list price.
- Part of today's governance hours stay, 25% unless you say otherwise.
- Compute and storage sit on your own infrastructure in both cases and are not counted. Neither are fewer errors, lower compliance cost or faster delivery.
